A Haircut?

Ava has been having a lot of trouble with her hair lately. It has been growing long and crazy with tons of stray hairs. It is completely uneven and basically a Hot Mess.

We were not real sure what to do but I was afraid to cut it. Why I have no idea. So yesterday my sister and her kids were here hanging out and she could not take it any longer. She jumped in the car ran and bought shears and got to chopping. Ava was very excited to have her hair cut. She sat there and did everything Betsy said. It turned out so cute. I mean better then cute. She has a little bob with bangs and is adorable. Hope you all like.

Hey Mom I can Ride a Bike!!!!!

We have been telling Hayden since he turned 5 he needed to learn to ride his bike without training wheels. Well we tried once and all we got was 1 whiny scared kid along with a super tired Dad from all the running. We were in Mike's parents garage and saw this little bike that our SIL had left in Houston. The bike is much smaller then Hayden's and we thought he could actually touch the ground and might not be as scared. When Hayden saw the bike he wanted to try. So off he and dad went to try
.

Dad got the running shoes on and headed to the street. Dad explained how to do and they were off
.
Dad was running and running and then he started to let go. Now last time this is where Hayden was so petrified he would just stop pedaling but not now.

He did it Hayden finally rode the bike. Now we can not get him off his bike. He wants to ride all day long and do turns and circles. My little boy just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Easter Weekend in Houston

We went to Houston for Easter. We were super busy but had a great time. The kids love to visit Grandma and PawPaw. We arrived on Friday hung out and played then we went and met up with Mike's cousin Wayne. It was the first time I had a chance to meet Wayne and his family. Mike was super excited to get to spend some time with him and his family. We had so much fun and are looking forward to seeing them again.

On Saturday we went over to Mike's Grandparents to spend some time with them. Mike's Grandma had a stroke about 7 months ago. She is doing very well and trying so hard. It is amazing what that lady can do and she is almost 90. She is pure inspiration to us all. That night we had a BBQ at the Parents with some good ole Steaks. The weather was so nice (yes Houston weather nice) PawPaw said why not eat outside. The kids loved it and we enjoyed every bite of those steaks. After Dinner we then died Easter Eggs. Which the kiddos loved loved loved.

We were so excited because the Easter Bunny remembered that we were in Houston and brought our Easter Baskets and hid the eggs. He had to hide the eggs in the house since it was a monsoon outside. I am always so proud of my little Hayden, when he found a pink or purple egg he would give it to his sister or leave it for her to find.

The best part about Easter that my Children truly new the meaning of Easter. That they understand what a sacrifice God and Jesus made for us. This is such a blessing for Mike and I to watch our children understanding the meaning of Christ in their lives.
