Wow How times flies!

As I was walking Hayden to school this morning, it hit me how time flies. Hayden has 6 weeks left until Kindergarten is over. What you heard me he has almost finished Kindergarten. How did this happen, how did my baby get so big, where did the time go? As we approached the crosswalk he said he didn't need me to walk him to the door of school. Now I know I am 9 months pregnant but I about lost it, and had to hold the flood gates back. He didn't need me to walk him to the door and told me to stay on the other side of the street while he went into school. I thought that is not even school property. I can't even get on school property with you now. It is a hard enough time doing drop off in the car pool line but this kid was insane . I must of looked at him with the saddest eyes because he said "It's OK this time but when I'm a first grader I can do it all by myself." So there lies the delima you want your children to grow up, become independent, strong, and self thinkers. But for my own selfish reason I am OK for him to stay 6 years old and a Kindergartner. Actually I am OK for all of my kids to stay the age they are now. I feel they are at some of the best stages, I have a 6 year old, a 3 year old and about to have a newborn in a few weeks. OK well the newborn can grow a little bit, at least the age where we sleep through the night. But I wonder everyday where these beautiful kids will end up. Will they have a lot of friends, and will they be good friends? Will they cross over to the Dark Side or stay sweet and innocent? I guess I now understand the amount of worry my mom carries and still does. I hope I always have time to enjoy them and can remember to not worry too much about the little stuff. It makes you remember how blessed in life I am. God has shined down on our family and enriched us with this life. So I guess my point is to enjoy every moment and savor it. Like your mom says, time really does fly by.
