Parent's Prayer- Mary Loveridge Robbins

We recently took a baptism class for Sadie and we were given this prayer. It is wonderful and I hope you enjoy it.

They are little only once LORD. Grant me the wisdom and patience to teach them to following in your footsteps and prepare them for what is to come.

They are little only once LORD. Make me take the time to play pretend, to read or tell a story; to cuddle. Don't let me for one minute think anything is more important than the school play, the recital, the big game, fishing or a quiet walk hand in hand. All too soon LORD they will grow away and there is no turning back. Let me have my memories with no regrets.

Please help me be a good parent, LORD. When I must discipline---let me do it in love, let it be firm , but fair; let me correct and explain with patience.

They are growing away LORD. While I have the chance let me do my best for them. For the rest of our lives, please LORD, let me be their very best friend.

First day of School!

Here are our school supplies.
We got to walk with our good friend Joshua to school.
We are ready to go! Hurry up we don't want to be late the first day!
I need my backpack too. I so wish I was a first grader.
I am ready to rock First Grade! Ms. Giebel her I come.

Gymnastics

Ava took Gymnastics this summer and enjoyed it very much. I thought she would of loved the trampoline the best but she enjoyed hanging on the bars and the game they played at the end of class. She got a ribbon and now thinks she is Mary Lou. If you know Ava you know she's no Mary Lou, the girl can fall off anything. She is seriously the clumsiest person I know and gymnastics didn't help that. We love her clumsiness anyway.

Lazy Summer Day!

We went to our park one night after dinner because we actually had some nice weather and it wasn't too hot.

Hayden was loving hanging out enjoying the nice weather. Of course so did Ava.

Sadie enjoyed her time on the slide.

What a fun time had by all!

Bedtime

Its Bedtime! They really couldn't understand why they could not go to bed on the bookshelves.
I love their little minds.

Look how cute we are!

We love our dresses Grandma and PawPaw!

The kids trip to Camp Tupperlake!

This summer the kids were able to go spend a week with their Grandma and PawPaw. My kids got to do a lot this summer since I was off work but I think this was one thing they were so excited about. They could not wait to go and kept asking when was Camp Tupperlake. When the day finally arrived we drove 1/2 way to Centerville to meet Grandma and PawPaw and had a special guest visitor, Grandpa. Grandma and PawPaw had tons of stuff planned. They went to the library, movies, James Coney (gotta get a hot dog), Children's Museum. Ava had a girls day with Grandma and Hayden got to go to PawPaw work which has the coolest gameroom ever. The kids were so good and had so much fun. We are so lucky that they were able to spend some time with their grandparents. Hayden and Ava can't wait to go to Camp Tupperlake next summer.

Smore Cupcakes

One of our favorite desserts around the Fruia house is Smores. So anytime I get a chance to try out a new smore recipe I do. The kids and I made this recipe for Smore Cupcakes. I highly recommend these. They are very tasty and yummy. Tell me if you like them.

Children's Museum So much fun

Yesterday we went to the Children's Museum in Fort Worth with my mom. We had so much fun and can't wait to go back.

AHH my Bookshelf

When we were moving all of the kids room we decided that we wanted Hayden to have a bookshelf. I love bookshelf's especially in boy rooms. So we started looking for Navy ones. Let me tell you that was a hard hard find. I was so frustrated because the ones I liked were around $500.00. I can tell you I was not paying that. My dad and I were talking the other day and I was telling him how upset about the shelves I was and he said ask me to go them. Duh I thought he made us gorgeous built in in our family room of course he could make the bookshelf and for a fraction of the cost. So off he set and it took him no time. I love the way they look. They turned out excellent. Hayden decorated them the way he wanted (not mom's way). They are great new assets to his room.

Bug is getting so Big!

We moved Sadie Bug to her crib right after we got back from our vacation on the 4th. Here she is the first morning. How is my baby getting so big so fast?

4th Of July

For the 4th of July this year we had big big plans. We were headed to Gulf Shores, AL with my whole family. And I mean whole family. We were going to have 24 of us. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandma, Grandpa's you name it we were going to have it. But as you all know by now unless you have been under a rock there was a huge oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico (thank you BP). We were hanging in there until the last minute possible to make the decision. As the days approached Gulf Shores got hit horribly from the oil and the property manager of the house recommended we cancel. So we canceled and started to scramble to come up with someplace all the Texas folk could go to get away. After many many hours on the phone Betsy and I came up with the Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio. If you haven't been there I highly recommend it. The hotel was a wonderful atmosphere great family fun. My kids loved it and we didn't even have to drive all the way to Alabama. They had tons of activities for the kids such as making smores by a campfire at night, wagon rides, zoo animals, pools and the best a lazy river. Here are some pics hope you enjoy.
