Beer Can Chicken

My sister and Toby turned us on to beer can chicken a couple of summers ago. We loved it so much then but had never made the chicken. So I was at the grocery store and never realized how cheap a whole chicken is. (I am a boneless skinless chicken girl). I bought one and decided we would make beer can chicken. Oh my it was the best we have ever had. The chicken marinaded for about a day and Mike put it on the grill and it was awesome. My kids even asked for seconds. That's how you know you have a hit. Here are the directions below in case you want to try.

1 Whole Fryer Chicken about 3 to 4 lbs rinsed and pat dry
1 can of beer

Marinade
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup salt
1/4 cup paprika
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp onion
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp cumin

Mix the marinade then rub all over the chicken inside and out. Place in fridge to marinade. When ready to make the chicken preheat your grill to around 350 degrees Cut off top of beer can place chicken directly on beer can. You can place in a oven safe dish to catch drippings if you would like. Put onto grill not directly over flame. Close lid and cook for 1.5 to 2 hours. You will get the best chicken ever. Cover legs if needed with aluminum foil.

YUM YUM YUM!!!!!!!!!!
